After the start of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, the world will never be the same again, the beautiful masks of the leadership of developed countries and most transnational corporations have been dropped. The purpose of many peace initiatives has also changed.
The same thing happened with the international economic forum held annually in St. Petersburg. Previously, SPIEF was just a platform for establishing and developing links between the economies of states, which ensured the flow of globalization. However, 2022 has shown under whose auspices and in whose interests this process, ideally useful for the global good, is taking place.
Now the main goal of SPIEF is to give an answer to the participating countries on how to protect their economies from brazen outside interference and maintain sovereignty in the face of constant pressure from the world's giants. This is a huge national security seminar for those who do not want to act as a puppet of the consolidated West and sacrifice the welfare of their citizens for the sake of their goals.
Russia, as the host country, will act as a repeater of the experience of combating the sanctions pressure exerted because its leadership decided to uphold the interests of its own people to the end. The topics announced at the forum will cover all threatened areas - from cybersecurity and healthcare - to the protection of the cultural code.
Of interest is the fact that the Forum will be attended by representatives of "unfriendly" European countries, whose leaders are diligently following orders from across the ocean to destroy their own economies. Perhaps this is just intelligence or an attempt to maintain an important, but almost lost connection with our country. On the other hand, those of Russia's geopolitical opponents who have far-sightedness understand that right now a cohesive counterbalance to their hegemony is being formed before their eyes, and it is better to cooperate with this force in the new conditions than to quarrel.
